About Dr. Weaver
Dr. Matthew Weaver is a colon and rectal surgery specialist in Houston, TX. Board-certified by the American Board of Surgeons, Dr. Weaver underwent general surgery residency training at UT McGovern Medical School Houston. He went on to complete specialty fellowship training in colon and rectal surgery at Georgia Colon and Rectal Surgical Associates in Atlanta, Georgia, where he received broad surgical exposure to diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
During this time, he trained extensively on and received certification for the Davinci robotic platform. He performs advanced robotic procedures for colon and rectal cancer as well as diverticulitis.
Dr. Weaver is a lifelong Texan whose clinical interests include applying advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques to both benign and malignant diseases of the colon and rectum. Additionally, he specializes in the treatment of anorectal diseases, such as hemorrhoids, anal fistulas, fissures, anal warts, pilonidal disease as well as fecal incontinence.
