About Dr. Lefave
Dr. Lefave received his MD at New York Medical College in 2009 and has a particular focus now on rectal cancer, Crohn’s disease, and ulcerative colitis. He brings his expertise in minimally invasive, single port, and robotic colorectal surgery, as well as modern techniques for rectal prolapse and fecal incontinence to both the Methodist Office and the Fannin Office of Houston Colon. He specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the colon, rectum, and anus for patient digestive health. His areas of expertise include colon cancer surgery, diverticulitis, ulcerative colitis, hemorrhoids, anal fissures, pilonidal disease, fecal incontinence, and perirectal abscess.
Dr. LeFave received his MD at New York Medical College in 2009 and has since gone on to complete his colorectal fellowship training at the University of South Florida Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship. He has also completed a Minimally Invasive Colorectal Surgery Fellowship at the University of Texas in Houston.
He is among a handful of double fellowship-trained Board-Certified surgeons in the country in both Minimally Invasive Surgery as well as Colon and Rectal Surgery. He has a particular focus on the surgical cure for colon and rectal cancer, Crohn’s disease, and ulcerative colitis as well as diverticulitis and endometriosis. He brings his expertise in minimally invasive, laparoscopic single port, and robotic colorectal surgery, as well as modern techniques for rectal prolapse and fecal incontinence to both the Texas Medical Center and The Woman’s Hospital of Texas.
